Formerly known as MOFAS: Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

Exciting News
from MOFAS

If you're looking for the Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (MOFAS) you have come to the right place. We have some exciting news about our organization. We have a new name! MOFAS has officially been renamed Proof Alliance. Our mission remains the same: to prevent prenatal alcohol exposure and to improve the quality of life for people living with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD).

Why PR%F

We now have the proof that prenatal alcohol exposure is a leading cause of brain injury in children. We have the proof that FASD is 100% preventable and people living with an FASD can reach 100% of their potential.

Why Alliance?

We seek to build powerful alliances with people with an FASD, their families, legislators, experts in the field, new partners, and community members to bring awareness, research, and services to this field.

What's Next?

Proof Alliance is rebranding, expanding, and we're moving! We have a new logo, website, and prevention campaign to help change the norms around drinking during pregnancy. And in May 2019 we will be moving to a stand-alone building. Proof Alliance commits to the people of Minnesota and we will continue to develop transformative programs to help Minnesotans impacted by FASD.

Golf Classic Recap

By: Alexa McIndoe,

What a wonderful day we had at Majestic Oaks Golf Club for our 6th Annual MOFAS Golf Classic. We had over 84 golfers, several volunteers, and wonderful staff members to help bring this event to life.

Governor Arne and Susan Carlson were wonderful hosts and we are very thankful for their hospitality. Susan gladly shared that our golf event alone has raised over $100,000 over the years.

We also had a lovely guest appearance from Dan “The Common Man” Cole from KFAN 100.3 FM. He was able to go around and visit our golfers through out the day and was our guest announcer for our raffle and silent auction winners.

During our reception dinner MOFAS invited several dads who have children with an FASD to speak about why they choose to golf in the MOFAS Golf Classic. They spoke of troubles and triumphs, and one thing that all had in common, the great support they have received from MOFAS.

With a room full of people who chose to play to prevent FASD, you can see the impact MOFAS has on the community.

MOFAS would like to thank our sponsors and donors who generously contributed to help bring together this wonderful event. Some have donated in the past and others are new to our event.

Thank you for making a difference with families, caregivers, educators, health care providers, legislators, and future generations –right now, right here in Minnesota.

Have a look at our photos from the event on FaceBook.
