Formerly known as MOFAS: Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

Exciting News
from MOFAS

If you're looking for the Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (MOFAS) you have come to the right place. We have some exciting news about our organization. We have a new name! MOFAS has officially been renamed Proof Alliance. Our mission remains the same: to prevent prenatal alcohol exposure and to improve the quality of life for people living with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD).

Why PR%F

We now have the proof that prenatal alcohol exposure is a leading cause of brain injury in children. We have the proof that FASD is 100% preventable and people living with an FASD can reach 100% of their potential.

Why Alliance?

We seek to build powerful alliances with people with an FASD, their families, legislators, experts in the field, new partners, and community members to bring awareness, research, and services to this field.

What's Next?

Proof Alliance is rebranding, expanding, and we're moving! We have a new logo, website, and prevention campaign to help change the norms around drinking during pregnancy. And in May 2019 we will be moving to a stand-alone building. Proof Alliance commits to the people of Minnesota and we will continue to develop transformative programs to help Minnesotans impacted by FASD.

Help Make Policy Changes, Support Foster Parents

13th annual benefit for MOFAS featuring Linda Walinski. Help us make policy changes and support foster parents

We need you to help MOFAS propose new policy initiatives. Wth your generous donations, we can create a world where families impacted by an FASD are supported and valued. Attend the 13th annual benefit for MOFAS and help us move forward with new policy changes. Funds raised will help us initiate a new bill that requires FASD training for foster parents. The training will help provide safer and more supportive homes for individuals with an FASD.

Benefit

Each year, people come from all corners of Minnesota to attend our benefit. They come for the company, laughs, entertainment, and stories. You’ll get the chance to bid on fabulous silent auction items and our live auction auctioneer brings excitement to our night. This year our live auction features something thrilling for each of the four Minnesota seasons. It will bring you anywhere from a lake cabin getaway right here in Minnesota to a resort stay in Mexico – all with the raise of a hand!

Meet Linda

We’re honored to have Linda Walinski as our guest speaker this year. You won’t want to miss her personal and professional stories. Linda has spent the past 24 years working with foster parents and children with an FASD.

“It wasn’t my life plan to fall in love with children with an FASD, but I did,” said Walinski. “I look into the eyes of my kids and all the others I’ve been privileged to be with and I see all that is precious. They deserve to be loved and cherished.”

Impact Policy Changes

Last year you helped raise $25,000 at our benefit. Your donations helped directly impact mothers who needed addiction and recovery services through the CRAFT Program. Help us make it happen again. If you come to the benefit you can help us become stronger advocates for the FASD community. You can help make system changes.

“These kids suffer enough without being punished for symptoms of their disability because they’re misunderstood,” said Walinski.

Join Us

Join us on Sunday, March 13, 2016, for the 13th annual benefit for MOFAS. You can help us make policy changes and positively impact the FASD community. Get your tickets today!
