Event: Movement for Emotional Regulation
Movement for Emotional Regulation
Please join us for a special event to teach youth how to use movement and mindfulness for self-regulation. Participants will have the opportunity to meet peers and actively practice self-regulation movement to incorporate into daily life.
This session is led by Kathy Flaminio, MSW, LGSW, E-RYT 200, founder of Move Mindfully (TM). Kathy works with local schools, crisis teams and agencies to teach mindfulness and incorporate movement into social-emotional learning to increase self-regulation. Her background as a school social worker helped support her vision to teach youth and families how to use regulating movement throughout the day.
Snacks and water provided. Parents and caregivers are welcome to observe. We will also have a separate room set up for parents and caregivers to network.
This special event is for middle-school-aged children with a known or suspected FASD. Event will be supervised by staff and volunteers.
