If you're looking for the Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (MOFAS) you have come to the right place. We have some exciting news about our organization. We have a new name! MOFAS has officially been renamed Proof Alliance. Our mission remains the same: to prevent prenatal alcohol exposure and to improve the quality of life for people living with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD).
We now have the proof that prenatal alcohol exposure is a leading cause of brain injury in children. We have the proof that FASD is 100% preventable and people living with an FASD can reach 100% of their potential.
We seek to build powerful alliances with people with an FASD, their families, legislators, experts in the field, new partners, and community members to bring awareness, research, and services to this field.
Proof Alliance is rebranding, expanding, and we're moving! We have a new logo, website, and prevention campaign to help change the norms around drinking during pregnancy. And in May 2019 we will be moving to a stand-alone building. Proof Alliance commits to the people of Minnesota and we will continue to develop transformative programs to help Minnesotans impacted by FASD.
MOFAS offers different financial assistance programs to help support families impacted by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD).
If registration fees are a barrier to your participation for the annual MOFAS FASD matters conference, a limited number of partial scholarships are available for attendees that live in Minnesota. Preference is given to families. Please contact Shauna Feine at email@example.com or 651-917-2370 for more information.
Through the generous sponsorship of the Saint Paul Foundation’s William and Connie Carroll Endowment Fund we are pleased to open the application process for the FASD Support Fund – East Metro. These grant funds are restricted and are currently available for families residing in Dakota, Ramsey, and Washington Counties who are the primary caregivers for an individual with an FASD or suspected to be on the spectrum with another confirmed eligible diagnosis that experience hardships related to the increased cost raising an individual with special needs. Learn about eligibility requirements and how to apply.
MOFAS has a history of providing care to patients regardless of their ability to pay. The vision of the organization is to support families impacted by an FASD. Please contact Mercedes Rider at firstname.lastname@example.org or 651-917-2370. Find out how MOFAS services can meet the needs of people who are unable to pay for care and apply for Financial Assistance.
MOFAS is proud to announce a summer camp scholarship opportunity for families impacted by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD).
