Shaped by the Voices of People Living with FASD

To help ensure the conversation reflects what matters most to people living with FASD, individuals with living experience have contributed questions that will guide the moderator’s discussion with panelists. Panelists will share their experiences, insights and perspectives to help attendees better understand what it means to live with FASD and how communities can create more supportive and inclusive environments.

Guiding questions include:

  • What is one thing you wish more people understood about living with FASD that is often misunderstood or overlooked?
  • How do you decide when or whether to share that you have FASD in places like school, work or social settings, and what has that experience been like for you?
  • What does self-advocacy mean to you, and what advice would you give to someone with FASD who is learning to speak up for themselves?
  • Can you share a time when someone truly supported or accommodated you in a way that made a positive difference, and what can others learn from that experience?

This event is an opportunity to listen, learn and better understand the experiences of people living with FASD as we begin FASD Awareness Month.
