MOFAS has officially been renamed Proof Alliance. Our mission remains the same: to prevent prenatal alcohol exposure and to improve the quality of life for people living with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD).

We now have the proof that prenatal alcohol exposure is a leading cause of brain injury in children. We have the proof that FASD is 100% preventable and people living with an FASD can reach 100% of their potential.

What's Next?

Proof Alliance is rebranding, expanding, and we're moving! We have a new logo, website, and prevention campaign to help change the norms around drinking during pregnancy. And in May 2019 we will be moving to a stand-alone building. Proof Alliance commits to the people of Minnesota and we will continue to develop transformative programs to help Minnesotans impacted by FASD.

Program Manager, Professional Education and Diagnosis

JOB SUMMARY:

The Program Manager will provide leadership, strategic initiative and management of the Proof Alliance training department and the screening & diagnosis department. The Manager will oversee the creation and implementation of the Training Plan as well as monitor training results that include tracking information, costs and effectiveness and feedback on the training program. The Manager will also oversee the direction and expansion of the Screening & Diagnosis Department and insure implementation of activities and monitor work plan outcomes. Oversee and manage all training and screening & diagnosis staff, activities and budget within the departments.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the design, development and delivery of curriculum to designated audiences – both prevention and support
  • Supervise staff in the training and screening & diagnosis departments
  • Determine and prioritize list of key partners/customers for training, develop ongoing relationships with key partner organizations
  • With Senior Training Coordinator oversee the development of robust Speaker’s Bureau including volunteer assignments, curriculum development and evaluation and feedback of speakers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential key partners/customer as identified in the strategic plan
  • Provide leadership and work closely with Senior Training Coordinator for the Proof Alliance annual conference including budgeting, planning committee, overall agenda, keynote speakers, sponsorship, and breakout session.
  • Research national and international organizations for up-to-date information in the field of FASD to incorporate into training materials. Insure all information presented is accurate, up-to-date, research-based and reviewed by medical experts in FASD field.
  • Work with communications, operations, and program staff to integrate professional education and training into their work as appropriate
  • Manage the FASD Consortium meetings
  • Provide leadership and work closely with Senior Clinic Coordinator to expand Proof Alliance diagnostic clinic as a center for teaching screening and diagnosis
  • Support policy work
  • Support development work
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Individual will possess highly effective verbal and written communications skills, problem solving abilities and have an interest in health issues or FASD.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with 5+ years of previous successful experience in the field of training.
  • Demonstrated success in designing, developing and delivering training
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint and other audio-visual software
  • Experience in research techniques and database technology
  • Basic understanding of social services systems
  • Professional or life experience in the field of FASD

This position reports to the Executive Director.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Proof Alliance offers a family-friendly, work/life balance office environment, and a complete benefits package that includes: generous vacation and sick time off, medical & dental insurance, short and long term disability insurance, life insurance, dependent care and health FSA, and an IRA.  The salary range for this position is $45,000-$55,000, depending on applicants qualifications.
