Each year, Proof Alliance awards more than $1 million in grants to organizations throughout Minnesota to address prenatal alcohol exposure and provide intervention and support at the community level to those impacted by fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD). Tribal Champion Community Grant
The Tribal Champion Community Grant, administered by Proof Alliance, is made possible through the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH). The purpose pf this grant is to support Native communities in establishing community-driven FASD work that is sustained and embedded into community.
Grants will be awarded to Tribal Nations in Minnesota if they meet legal qualifications for receiving grants. These agencies can be from a variety of settings and geographical locations across Minnesota. Priority will be given to agencies that serve in rural areas. Eligible agencies must be a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, a Tribal government, a government agency or a school or educational institution.
- Total Grant Funding Available: $40,000.00 per year
- Grant Period: 2 years
- November 1, 2026-June 30, 2028, with the possibility of an additional third year, from July 1, 2028 to June 30, 2029.
- Proposal Due: Sept 1, 2026, by 5:00 p.m. CST
- Expected Grantee(s): We anticipate awarding this funding opportunity to one organization.
