Meet the Native American Community Grant Recipients

Our grant recipients are dedicated to addressing fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD) and prenatal alcohol exposure within their communities. Learn more about the incredible work being done by these leaders to create positive change in Native communities.

Current Grantee: Mino Bimaadiziwin Wellness Clinic

The Mino Bimaadiziwin Wellness Clinic is a proud Proof Alliance Tribal Champion in Minneapolis, supporting families caring for loved ones with FASD. Mino B integrates therapeutic practices with traditional teachings and stories, honoring the wisdom of the Red Lake community. Their services include drum teachings, rattle making and guidance rooted in the Seven Grandfather Teachings, helping families better understand and support their loved ones with FASD.

Current Grantee: Endazhi-Nitaawiging Charter School

Endazhi-Nitaawiging Charter School in the Red Lake Nation serves Kindergarten–7th grade students, combining academic preparation with Ojibwe language, culture and leadership. Their Tribal Champion work supports all children, including those with FASD, offering on-site counseling and therapies like light therapy, play therapy and meditation to foster wellness and growth.
